Lightdrop by Ashley Park

LIGHTDROP is a post-modern absurdist drama about Fallen, a person who finds themselves lost in an unknown world. Isolated and fearful, Fallen seeks companionship – and discovers it in Gary, a beam of randomly moving light. Can a person and a beam of light make sense of the weird universe they are both stuck in? More importantly, can they be friends?

Performance Time: March 19th. Time TBA
Ashley Park is a fourth-year student at UBC majoring in BFA Creative Writing and BA Theatre who is trying something new again for the stage. Feeling perplexed by pareidolia, perception, and point of view, Ashley is able to place these disquiets on paper through the fun of play writing. Many thanks for the support from friends, faculty, and tiny flashlights for making Lightdrop a possibility.
