THE HOARDER is a surrealist monologue about a man who reveals the mysterious truth of what he’s keeping in his boxes. Now, his unsuspecting guest must face the irreversible consequences of knowing the dark obsessions of an absurd mind.

etey_olivia_-headshotOlivia Etey is a fifth year UBC student double majoring in Creative Writing and English Honours. Her produced works include Foreplay (2015), The Midnight Serenade (2015) and Living on the Grid (2016) which debuted at Vancouver’s FRINGE Festival as part of Only Animal’s Generation Hot Series. Last year, Olivia was the backstage runner for Brave New and had the amazing opportunity to eavesdrop on all the plays. She is ecstatic to join the festival again this year!

Prior to moving to Vancouver, Matthew was an active member of Kitchener-Waterloo’s theatre community. A few of his favourite on-stage experiences include Cats (The Community Players), Jane Eyre the Musical (The Singer’s Theatre), and VIMY (Growing In The Arts). Having explored his time as an actor, Matthew has found a passion in directing and collaboration through his love of storytelling. As a director, his growing works are established in film; along with the creation of his play in 2012 entitled, Hopefully Fast Enough. Thrilled to be working alongside Brave New Play Rites, Matthew invites you to join in celebrating young local creatives!

Rhodes) After completing his undergrad at Western University, Zack moved from London to Vancouver to study acting at Studio 58. Selected credits include roles in Troilus and Cressida, Angels in America, Oblique Strategies, The Classroom (all Studio 58), Metamorphoses (London Community Players) and Much Ado About Nothing (Aerie Theatre). Zack has fallen in love with this beautiful mountain city and he is pleased to be a part of the Brave New Play Rites festival this year!
